On May 14th, the House Ways and Means Committee passed a draft bill that would eliminate the Residential Solar Tax Credit (Section 25D) by December 31, 2025. If enacted, this could have severe consequences for residential solar and storage nationwide.
The bill now moves to the Budget Committee for markup on Friday, followed by a full House vote—possibly by Memorial Day—before heading to the Senate.
